The Flatz is thrilled to become the third location of Beahive, a collaborative workspace, on the third floor of its flagship building at 1008 Main Street in Downtown Peekskill. The first Beahive was founded 6 years ago in Beacon, NY, by Scott Tillitt. Both Scott and the Beahive are part of a movement to grow and support a “Local Living Economy… a culture of environmental, social and economic sustainability in the Hudson Valley.”
Monica Flaherty welcomed founder, Scott Tillitt, to Peekskill several months ago to discuss the collaboration. Scott was enthusiastic about both the location and the building itself. He considers The Flatz Properties to be in alignment with the Beahive’s reputation and mission. Scott formally announced the agreement in a recent communication, where he says:
“The Flatz is a perfect values-aligned partner for us: They revitalize historic properties and rent at fair prices with ethical standards for tenants, and are contributing to the ongoing revitalization of downtown Peekskill.”
